Royal Ulster Academy of Arts Annual Exhibition – Terms and Conditions of Sale
- General Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern the sale of artworks at the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts (RUA) annual exhibition held at the Ulster Museum, Belfast. By purchasing an artwork, the buyer agrees to comply with these terms. - Purchase Agreement
Upon purchase, a legally binding contract is formed between the buyer and the artist (or their representative). The buyer acknowledges that they have inspected the artwork and are satisfied with its condition. - Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods for the purchase of artworks: - Debit/Credit Cards
We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Bank Transfer or Cheque.
Artwork will not be released until full payment has been received and cleared.
- Collection of Purchased Work
Purchased artworks must be collected on Monday 6th January 2025 between 10am and 5pm directly from the exhibition gallery at the Ulster Museum, Belfast.
After this date, collection will only be possible by arrangement from the RUA headquarters at Alpha House, 1-3 Rosemary Street, Belfast, BT1 1QA, by contacting 028 9032 0819 or info@royalulsteracademy.org.
- Delivery of Artwork
If required, delivery of the artwork can be arranged through our recommended courier, Tom Caldwell Installations. For quotes and arrangements, please contact Brian Delaney at brian@tomcaldwellgallery.com. Delivery costs are the responsibility of the buyer. - Upon request work can be prepared for shipping outside of Ireland. Contact simon@royalulsteracademy.org for carrier options and quotes.
- Ownership and Transfer of Title
Title to the artwork passes to the buyer only upon full payment. The RUA is not responsible for any damage or loss incurred after this point, including during collection or transport. - Returns and Refunds
All sales are final. Refunds or exchanges are only permitted if the artwork has been significantly misrepresented or found to be defective. Buyers must notify the RUA in writing within 14 days of purchase if any issues are identified. - Copyright
The sale of artwork does not include copyright or reproduction rights, which remain with the artist unless otherwise agreed in writing. - Liability
The RUA is not liable for any loss or damage to the artwork once it has been collected by the buyer, including during transit arranged by the buyer or third-party couriers. - Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Northern Ireland, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
