A Series of Springtime talks by esteemed participants, exploring various facets of cultural life in Northern Ireland. The talks are kindly supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland
The lineup begins with a talk by Sean Luke, nephew of the renowned artist John Luke, promising insights into previously unknown aspects of his uncle's life and paintings. This will also include a private view of John Luke's Mural "Solomon Building the Temple" housed next door in the Freemasons Hall in Rosemary Street.
Notably, the program collaborates with the University of the Third Age (U3A) . A dedicated talk will focus on the potential benefits of art practice for wellbeing, underscoring the therapeutic and holistic aspects of artistic engagement.
Karson Browne, a young poet, brings his unique voice and literary expertise to "Artistry Unveiled." With a profound understanding of Northern Ireland's cultural landscape, Browne's talk promises to be a poetic exploration, offering the audience a captivating glimpse into his artistic journey and a deeper appreciation for the intersections of poetry and local heritage. His contribution adds a rich layer to the program, inviting audiences to connect with the evocative power of words within the context of their cultural identity.
