In these workshops with Ciaran Gallagher ARUA, tutor, on the 24th April, 8th May, 22nd May, 5th June and 19th June, we will explore anatomy and how it can be valuable for figurative artists to know what is going on under the skin.
We will study a live model and anatomical props to help better understand the skeleton and muscles to make more dynamic and anatomically accurate figure drawings.
Understanding anatomy can be daunting. So we will be learning to simplify the skeleton into geometric forms, recognise predictable landmarks and identify the muscles and how they connect with those landmarks.
We also have untutored sessions with model on 1st May, 15th May, 29th May, 12th June and the 26th June 2024.These classes are aimed towards artists who would like to practise drawing from life with a professional model.
